Service is Gratitude
Jesus teaches that serving others is a core part of faith, stating that He came "not to be served but to serve" (Mark 10:45)
The Greatest Commandments: Jesus summarized the law by commanding people to love God and to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37–39), expanding the definition of a neighbor to anyone in need through stories like the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:33–37)
In the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:35–40), Jesus teaches that caring for the hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick, and imprisoned is the same as serving Him directly: "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
